The Alcoa Foundation joins Mira to protect the environment and train environment ambassadors!

New aluminum containers to collect laser and ink print cartridges as well as old cell phones will be distributed in the schools of 4 school boards of the regions of Baie-Comeau, Portneuf, Bécancour and Montreal. A contest will be launched between the schools of each of the school boards in order to name a dog.

PJC – Everything… even a Mira container

In more than a 100 Jean Coutu drugstore in the province of Quebec, you can find a container to recycle you laser and ink print cartridges as well as your old cell phones with Mira. It is therefore thanks to you if the Jean Coutu stores have been able since 2013 to give the value of 3 dogs. Each cartridge is important for Mira and the environment. We invite you to visit our list of participating Jean Coutu stores in order to recycle your empty print cartridges or your old cell phones.

Optimists club

Since 2008, it is more than 20 Optimists club, whose members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, that take part in our cartridge recycling program. They were able to help 6 young persons to receive a specially trained dog given freely to help rebuild their lives in liberty, dignity and as independently as possible.
